Is anyone out there addicted to popping pimples?
Posted by admin in popping pimples on October 31, 2009
I think I have a problem, I fantasize about popping zits on a daily basis. Does anyone else have this disgusting fetish and what do you think is the reason for being so obsessed with something so gross?
*with a sheepish grin and reddening face* Yes. I don’t fantasize though. I think it has something to do, like the other person said (cool that I’m not the only one who thought of it), with monkey’s grooming one another. If we believe that our genetic ancestors/cousins are primates, it makes sense that those grooming traits (picking things off one another) would manifest in another, albeit potentially gross fashion. Sometimes I only do it when serious stressed or depressed and in that instance is like a release…maybe bubble packing would be safer in the long run.
It’s nice to know I’m not the only freak out there. Just check out all the pimple videos on Youtube…some truly DISGUSTING stuff! I got my mom addicted to watching them!!!

How many do you feel that popping pimples do more good than bad.?

From your experience have their been pimples with a white head that never left a mark?
I do sometimes, if it’s really big. There will be a mark for about a week after the pimple goes away but then your skin will look like normal. At least this is true for me.
Solution for blackhead removal?
Posted by admin in blackhead removal on October 29, 2009
I’ve used the blackhead removal strips, but I’ve noticed that even with the strips, some of the blackheads still remain on my nose.
Is there any techniques I can probably use before using the strip to better get the blackheads out?
I used to have blackheads myself. Since I have bought this product from Neutrohgene I have noticed a difference. They are cushions that you have to rub against your face. The product is called Neutrogena Visibly Clear. You can get the gel as well as these cushions. I would advise you to get cushions as I have used many gels and they have had no effect.
Would it make these acne treatments less effective if I make them and bottle them?

I found a website that has home remedie acne treatments and I figured when I have a lot of time I can make a little bit of each one and bottle and lable them. woudl it make them less effective from sitting on a shelf in a bottle?
I think it would probably make them less effective depends on the ingredients. What are they and What is the site? maybe you could refrigerate them. I don’t know I’d have to know what ingredients
How to get rid of soft white pimples?
Posted by admin in white pimples on October 29, 2009
I have white pimples on my forehead. I pop them and with little effort it pops and white gooey stuff comes out. After the gooey stuff comes out it turns red but its not inflated anymore. Then like 3 days later the red pimple thing gets white and inflates. I pop it and white gooey stuff comes again. I have like 3 small ones on my forehead. How do I get rid of them! It’s so annoying.
you need something that kills the bactria witch is causing the pimple.so tea tree oil does that it can be found at Kroger’s and Walgreen’s.the regular Clearasil cream works great too.lemon juice might also work and its the cheapest.
Can popping pimples on your back cause spine injury?
Posted by admin in popping pimples on October 27, 2009
i hav some dime sized pimples on my bakc that are pretty white, some are small black heads. If i pop one can it cause any spine damage or damage to the tissue because whenever i try to pop it, my whole back hurts like hell…especially after i try.
No- ur just feeling ur nerves kuz they’re so big. The only thing, is that ur leaving scars and ur gonna regret popping them later on. U should try out the body cleansers and make sure u shower every day and keep ur skin clean. It might take a few months but it does help….
I have little black dots on my nose! ewww, i have tryed to use blackhead removal. But it doesnt work.?
Posted by admin in blackhead removal on October 27, 2009
I know this is gross, but i have seen a lot of other people with it to , and i just really want it gone,
Steam your face putting a little bit of lemon oil in the water. This opens your pores, then gently scrub nose with a cleanser for blackhead removal. If this doesn’t get them all use a pore strip. However this should keep the blackheads away once you get rid of them.
Does anyone know any good acne treatments?
Posted by admin in adult acne treatments on October 27, 2009
I have moderately bad acne. My mom sells Mary Kay and she thinks its the best and doesnt want me to use anything else. The problem is, ITS NOT WORKING! I still have acne and it like doesnt go away.
Does anyone know any good acne treatments and/or a way i could get my mom to let me use other products?
There is a range of treatment options to help treat acne. As acne can’t be cured, treatments aim to control the symptoms by:
preventing new spots forming
improving those already present
preventing scarring
Your GP will usually assess your treatment after six weeks and, if beneficial, treatment will continue for four to six months.
Self-help
It’s important to keep spot-prone areas clean, so wash the affected area twice a day with an unperfumed cleanser. The skin needs a certain amount of oil to maintain its natural condition, so it’s best to use gentle soaps and not to scrub your skin too hard when washing.
Medicines
There are a number of over-the-counter remedies available from pharmacies to treat mild acne. These usually contain antibacterial agents such as benzoyl peroxide (eg Oxy and Clearasil Max).
As well as its antibacterial effects, benzoyl peroxide can dry out the skin and encourage it to shed the surface layer of dead skin. Together, these effects make it harder for pores to become blocked and for infection to develop.
Benzoyl peroxide can cause redness and peeling, especially to start with. This tends to settle down if you reduce the number of times you use it. You can then build up your use gradually.
Home treatments for acne won’t work immediately. It can take weeks, sometimes months, for significant effects to be noticeable. If home treatments haven’t worked after two months, or you have severe acne, you should visit your GP.
Your GP may start your treatment by prescribing a preparation containing benzoyl peroxide. If this doesn’t work, or if you have more severe acne, there are a range of other treatment options. These come as creams or lotions that your can rub on to your skin, or as tablets.
Creams and lotions
There are several creams and lotions you may be prescribed, including those listed below.
Azelaic acid (Skinoren) is an alternative to benzoyl peroxide and may not make your skin as sore as benzoyl peroxide.
Retinoids (eg Adapalene) are medicines based on vitamin A, which you can rub into your skin daily. They work by encouraging the outer layer of skin to flake off.
An antibiotic lotion, such as clindamycin (eg Dalacin T) or erythromycin (eg Stiemycin), applied to your skin can be used to control the P. acnes bacteria. You will need to continue this treatment for at least six months.
Creams and lotions that combine an antimicrobial with other acne medication are also available (eg Quinoderm).
Creams and lotions are only effective where and when they are applied so you should apply these daily to all areas of your skin that are prone to acne.
Tablets
There are several oral treatments you may be prescribed.
Antibiotics, such as tetracycline, can be prescribed for inflammatory acne. You should take these daily for around three months, although it might take four to six months for you to see the benefits. The success of this treatment can be limited because the strains of bacteria are often resistant to the common antibiotics. Antibiotics don’t prevent pores from becoming blocked so treatment to prevent blackheads, such as benzoyl peroxide, is often also prescribed at the same time.
Some types of oral contraceptive tablets help women who have acne. A combination of the usual contraceptive pill hormone called ethinylestradiol with cyproterone acetate (eg Dianette) suppresses male hormone activity. This drug has been shown to reduce sebum production so is often used in women with acne.
Isotretinoin (eg Roaccutane) is a medicine known as an oral retinoid, which is also available as a cream (see Creams and lotions). Isotretinoin works by drying up oily secretions. It tends to be prescribed to people with severe forms of acne that have proved resistant to other treatments. There are a number of serious side-effects of this drug, such as liver disorders and depression. You shouldn’t take isotretinoin if you’re pregnant, as it’s very dangerous to an unborn baby. For safety reasons, isotretinoin is only prescribed under the supervision of a dermatologist (a doctor specialising in skin conditions).
Why all of a sudden did i start breaking out in blackheads and white pimples?
Posted by admin in white pimples on October 27, 2009
I’ve never broken out before. help! they appear on my forehead, nose, and chin.
btw i touch my face a lot ![]()
Try using exfoliating scrub. Wet your face, rub some all over your face(try to scrub it it to be more effective) then wash it off. Do it twice daily and you should be fine.
