is any one else obbsessed with popping pimples?

like if i have a zit i have to squeeze it i cant help it. and even black heads and stuff i have to squeeze them out. i leave my face with scabs and scars is this an illness? i seriously cant help it and i feel relieved after it has popped but then i stay indoors so no one sees the aftermath HELP!

i only pop pimples if they have pus and i have to go out that day; i don’t want people to see some pus-infested pimple on my face. but usually if it’s the weekend, i’ll just leave it and put some ointment on it and it’ll go down by the time it’s the start of the week again.

try to wash your face every morning and before going to bed to keep it clean. drink lots of water and sleep early. don’t any sweets before you go to bed (even though it is said that what you eat doesn’t affect pimples, mine always get bigger if i eat sweets at night). just take care of your skin and you won’t have to pop anything! for the blackheads, pore strips usually fail. if you must squeeze, soak your face in warm water or put a warm wet towel for a couple of minutes on your face so your pores open up, thus making it easier to squeeze the blackheads out. exfoliating once a week also takes away the dead skin and helps lessen blackheads/pimples.

Are there any other acne treatments that are powerful other than Accutane?

I have cystic acne, and my doctor told me that I should definitely try Accutane. The only issue is that my insurance doesn’t cover it and it would cost over $1000 a month. I’ve been using the Murad acne process and that’s been working well for me, but that doesn’t work for the cystic acne under the skin, only the blemishes on the top layer. Are there any other medications or products that have worked on cystic acne that you know of? Thank you times ten in advance.
I’m already using a topical treatment called Murad. It’s basically Proactive x10 so that really won’t help me. That doesn’t take care of acne under the skin, only on top.

For bad acne like this that isn’t topical, just about everything other than accutane is useless. Accutane guarantees results and there really arn’t any other choices on the market right now for severe acne. It’s also fustrating when people do not realize that topical treatments do not work for the kind of acne we have. They, at the best of times, merely keep the acne from getting worse if they do even that. There is nothing special in proactive. You can find the same ingredients in store brand soaps that cost 10 times less.

Do know that often the treatment is not permanent, though. I’ve been on it three times, and will probably opt for a lifetime treatment taking one pill a week. It works very well for me, but the effects are not permanent. The only saving grace here is I get months of accutane for free (I live in Canada).

I sincerely hope that accutane works for you the first time and you can slay this awful disease.

How can I bring one of those paintful deep not-white pimples ot a head?

I have a very effective treatment for popping and treating white pimples. But now i hae this huge bright red deep pimple that’s hurts SO much.. I don’t want to touch it until its white and to a head..how can I do this? And no , i won’t pop it now it hurts TOO much to even touch…

Place a warm wash cloth over the pimple a couple times, it opens the pore. It should be less painful after a bit and you might be able to pop it.

What is the best way to get rid of pimples (without popping them)?

I’ve had pimples all over nose and forehead and I’vde had them for many months now and I really need help getting rid of them.

Use soap with sulfur and salicylic acid. This helps to avoid pimples by cleaning out pores. It also helps reduce swelling.

Help! My skin isn’t too horrible, but i have blackheads on my nose, and acne on my forehead. I’ve tried Proactive, and some clean and clear stuff.

Those small white heads are called milia, and the only way to get rid of them, is to go and get a facial. Your esthetician can get rid of them without scarring. Don’t try to get rid of them on you own. They are hard little pieces of of bacteria and pus, and come out in one piece. To do so, you have to create a small hole and gently pry them out of your skin. Squeezing or picking will cause scarring, so don’t do this at home. You can also go to your dermatoligist to get this done, but it’s more expensive. If you get them on your back, it’s because you are wearing cotton shirts while working out. The cotton hold your sweat next to your skin which causes your skin to reabsorb the bacteria that your skin sweated out.

i use clean and clear morning wash every morning, and then i stopped for a while because i ran out, all of sudden i have pimples between my eye brows, and now i use the morning wash every morning again. i wanna get rid of the pimples! any home remedies?

Scrub gently with a lavender balm.

Any recommendations on acne treatments for African-Americans?

I have been searching,without much success,for acne treatments that ACTUALLY work for African-Americans,and don’t leave acne marks/spots.
Any suggestions/recommendations?

I havent used this system yet, but will try. I get pimples, they go away without me popping them or even touching them and I still get scars or dark marks. Maybe this website will help:

They have many videos on youtube that show African-Americans with Acne and how this system works. I’m definitely given it a shot even though its on the expensive side.
