I've always popped them too and have yet to have scars/infections. Always feel bad about doing it though. I think you need to have hardcore acne to get scars.

I pop em too, and I don’t get infections.
If it doesn’t affect your skin, do whatever you want.

You should DEFINITELY be more careful. I didn't get any scars or anything like that till i got older. But yes, that one pimple that scars you does suck.

No, it's different for everyone. The effects of popping a pimple are variable for everyone. One person may not wash their hands before touching the pimple and spread bacteria making the pimple and the area around it worse.

My teacher told of of a friend in college – she died of a brain infection after popping a pimple on her forehead.

To answer your question, there are different skin types. Some people will scar terribly whenever the skin is broken. Others can be more like you. And, yes, you should be more careful.
